@thebiglybestestdoggie: After a $250 trip to the vet for itching and scratching my way to an ear infection, Momma said I need to find a better hobby. So I decided to lick the kitchen floor clean instead. I am such a good helper!
~Happy Tuesday, everyone! Dogs are great helpers, aren’t they! They do a better job with household chores than most kids, and without even having to ask. Now, if only they could fold laundry…~
Dogs are basically the best thing about life.

It’s taken me a while to realize this myself. I was never much of a “dog person”, but now I know it was only because I hadn’t found the right doggie to show me what I’d been missing out on all that time. 😊

Haha, I’m glad that you’re now ‘woke.’

Ah, he is so cute!
( My daughter tries to convince me cats are better. ) That’s a no to that.

Awww, thanks! Some cats are cute… But I’m pretty well convinced that dogs have more entertaining personalities, overall. 😄

Every time I see this dog, he gets cuter and cuter.

Awww, thanks! I’m inclined to agree. He’s such a doll. 😊

Tucker has a different take on this. He bites at my pants pockets (naive me) thinking he was after food smells. In reality, he was after BOTH credit cards and paper currency. Boy was I shocked when I went online and saw a new account attached to my other bank accounts called Tucker’s Leisure Spending. 😀

Not too surprising, since most dogs are quite intelligent. The concerning part, of course, is that Tucker seems to be unaware of the fact that he likely lives a life of leisure already. But it’s ruff being a doggie…

What? You can’t get your kids to lick the floor clean? The poor dog has to do everything around the house? When Mom told us we better lick our rooms clean, by golly we got around to licking!

You would think if kids can eat off the floor, they might as well clean it while they’re at it. But nooooo. So now the dog has decided to step in and pick up their slack. 😂

I hope he’s feeling much better now! It was so nice of him to find a new hobby. 😉

He’s definitely feeling better. Adorable little monster needs to use his energy for something more constructive than creating excuses for us to hang out with the vet. I guess that is where the floor cleaning comes in. 😆

Oh no!! Harry had something similar last year. He’s also a great cleaner. We should have nick named him ‘cold wash’.

Cold Wash! Haha! That’s cute. 😃 Scratching yourself to an ear infection? Definitely less cute. Let’s just stick with the cleaning for now, pets! 🤣

My cat is a good pre-cleaner of dishes. He likes to sleep in the laundry when it’s still warm, but hasn’t gotten the hang of folding yet. One dog trims her own toenails, which saves me $10 at the vet. The other guy is 7 and the world’s best napping buddy. 🙂

Isn’t it wonderful when animals pick up on subtle things like that? I’m thinking about starting a laundry folding class for all interested animals. You know, in case any of them made a new year’s resolution to learn a (helpful) new skill. 🤣

Oh they are great little helpers. Never a crumb on the floor. lol

And all this time, I thought goats were the only helpful creatures when it comes to household chores. I had no idea doggies were so eager to help, too. 😆

Cora the dog stands under the high chair. She doesn’t care for the baby but she likes the mess he makes!

Fortunately, it sounds like those delightful mealtime messes will be the very thing that brings baby and doggie together! How can she not learn to adore someone who always thoughtfully shares his food? 😆

$248.00 later and Tucker’s ulcer appears to be showing signs of improvement as well. I will NEVER again allow Tucker to watch Janet Yellen discuss how she authorized the Treasury Department to PRINT MONEY! I’m convinced Jett and Tucker are under the assumption when money is needed, just print some more. 😀

Wait a minute… So you’re saying money does NOT grow in trees? Because Jett just informed me otherwise. Said something about a money tree he discovered in the backyard…? Hmm. Now I might have to go out there and investigate for myself.
