@thebiglybestestdoggie: When lightning strikes and the thunder roars, there’s only one thing for this big, strong, protective doggie to do… Hide!!! (Momma, save me!)
~Happy Tuesday, everyone! People expect doggies to be tough, but sometimes all they want to do is hide under a blanket and wait for the storm to pass… much like their human counterparts.~
We had a dog that was terrified of thunder and fireworks. Maverick doesn’t seem as bothered, but we were out on the porch the other night when I saw the sky light up right over my head. I started dashing to the house and when that thunder cracked…he may have zoomed past me.

Jett isn’t fond of any noise that disrupts his sense of peace. That includes the vacuum, the doorbell, and select sounds of nature. 😝

Awww! Hope the storm didn’t last too long.

No, it didn’t last too long, but the impact of it left him shaking for a while. Poor baby. 😦

So he decided to stay on his own? That must’ve been such a helpless feeling!

It takes him a bit to calm down and feel better, but he knows we always keep him safe. 🙂

He must’ve been terrified as there’s no sign of his favourite toy in the pic!

My dog get scared too. Just to any loud bang sound. Mostly thunder and he’s quivering.

My dog lays next to me on the couch and sticks his nose (and sometimes his whole head) behind my back when there is a storm. Like, if he can’t see it, it can’t see him or hurt him. Jett looks pretty chill there. 🙂

That’s pretty much what Jett does, too! He’ll stick as much of his head (or body) as possible under a bed, couch, kitchen table… Whatever looks like it’ll provide ample shelter from a storm, whether literal or figurative. 😜

Ha! The tail between the legs! Bigly reminds me so much of Biskit when he gets scared (Which is all the time)…

Ya, he’s a big softie who needs a reassuring hug to know HE will be kept protected and safe. 😆
