@thebiglybestestdoggie: Have you ever tried looking at the world from a different perspective? I find that looking at things upside down makes life more interesting. It also doesn’t hurt that this angle is optimal for belly rubs! Moral of the story? Experimenting with different viewpoints might just bring some sweet surprises!

I do, especially more lately as the memories of the hard times toward the end have started to fade and give way to memories of much happier times.
It’s times like this when I realize just how enormous a blessing this precious doggie is, coming into our lives when we most needed him, and now, being by my side like the amazingly loyal best friend that he is.

thanks she is still here, may take a year to eighteen months for her heart valve to close. With years of training I’m handling the care more comfortably but my back doesn’t like it!

Don’t you just love it when your dog lies on their backs and stare at you like that. It just makes me wonder what the hell they’re thinking about at that moment.

Very good moral of the story! I’m a huge believe in the power of perspective. Aww this made me remember when my old dog used to lie on his back and look up at me, and I’d tickle his chin. I think he knew the power of perspective (and how being upside down is also optimal for belly rubs) too 😉
