Memories.
They’re a double-edged sword, aren’t they?
They’re the source of our happiness and achievements… and our problems and misery.
Anyway…
Kind thanks to fellow blogger Marc Alexander Valle for nominating me for the 3 Days Quote Challenge, with the topic of Memories of Yesterday.
Because I clearly have issues playing by the rules, I opted to cram all three days’ worth of quotes into one day.
And in the spirit of this being a humor blog, I’ve embraced the challenge Comically Quirky style.
(Translation- from a slightly off-kilter, warped, and twisted perspective.)
Here we go!
(Attempting to balance a fishbowl on your head with a live fish sloshing about is probably far better suited as a distant memory, anyway. So no loss there.)
(No surprise there. A donut a day will help keep Homer’s under-active brain at bay.)
(How right you are, little minion. Keep the insanity coming!)
The rules for this challenge are simple. For the three days you just need to post a quote or if you wish you can post all three quotes on the same day.
You then nominate three other bloggers each day to participate in this challenge and inform them about it.
Don’t forget to thank the blogger who nominated you!
My three nominees:
Nominees, you are under no obligation to accept this challenge…but there will be cake once the challenge is completed!!!
Oh crap! That adorable yellow minion just ate all the cake.
Happy Thursday, and Happy Blogging! 😉
Fun 🙂

Thank you so much girl for believing in it 🙂 Most of the times I get mocked at for believing in it, but the blogging community has been so awesome and has encouraged me so much 🙂 Glad we crossed paths ❤

I’m glad, too! You have to be optimistic and positive in this life. There’s no other option, as far as I’m concerned. ❤

Excellent! Just give me a minute to wrestle the cake back from that gluttonous minion… 😛

If I put a fruit salad on my head and went out in public, I’m not sure the memories I’d have would be ones I wanted to remember! Better stick with the Homer philosophy….

Good point. It’s true that “memorable” doesn’t necessarily imply that it’s a good type of memory that you’d want to cherish for all time. So it’s safe to say that not all memories are created equally; some are far more mortifying than others. 😝

Cute – all of them – but I like especially the one about not knowing the value of a moment until it becomes a memory. From the time I was very little and our family went someplace special I would find a place and just stand and “feel it”, knowing I was in that moment, but after that moment it would become a memory, but right now at this very instant I was there experiencing it. I told that to my mom recently and she looked at me with a strange look and said, “you never told me that.” We really know so little about what our children think about and what they understand. My memories were always very special to me.

I know exactly what you mean! I’m not sure if I experienced that sensation as much as I child as I do now, though. Perhaps part of that comes from a state of almost hyper-awareness. At any rate, I try to live in the moment and enjoy life as it is happening. But I also whole-heartedly cherish the memories. 🙂
