@thebiglybestestdoggie: Youngest owner promised to walk me, so I waited in the backyard. But I didn’t want to wait. Then the wind blew the gate open. It was like magic! Adventure called my name! Freedom at last! Oh, but then the kid came along and “rescued” me.

What do you mean I’m not supposed to go for unsupervised walks?!?
~Happy Tuesday, friends! I can only imagine what goes on in the minds of doggies. Especially after watching The Secret Life of Pets… Yikes!~
My dog looked at me like that once when I tried to wear an ascot.

Don’t you just love how expressive dogs can be? As a bonus, those delightful expressions make them even more fun to photograph… 😛

Oh my!! Our puppy knows that if he can squeeze past you out the front door…freedom. The only problem is he thinks it’s a game and wants you to chase him instead of coming back like he should.

Ha! I’m sure a good chase around the neighbor hood is the epitome of a great day in the world of dogs! 😀

He’s adorable and mischievous. When he sees an opportunity. he goes for it. Fits in well with your family. 🙂

Oh yes, we are most certainly a family of adorable, mischievous, opportunity-seizing crazies. 😛 😛
Nice to see you around! Hope you’re doing well 🙂

Absolutely. Boldly and without remorse, to boot. There’s a big world out there that extends beyond the backyard, and Jett simply must do some exploring on his own. Or so he thinks… 😛

That look is priceless. 🙂

Oh yes. That would be Jett’s “how could this possibly be so wrong when it felt so right?” look. 😛

It’s a big, wild word out there, Jett. And one that doesn’t regularly hand out treats. Just keep that in mind the next time that gate blows open…

Yes! That’s the truth. I’ll be sure to plant that seed of thought in Jett’s mind. But I think the impulsive temptation of freedom is downright irresistible for a doggie.

Go, Jett!!! When the wind blows the gate open, that’s Serendipity tapping you on the shoulder. One of mine would totally do this, the other would stay obediently in the yard. The one that “escapes” runs to the front of the house and lays on the doormat. 🙂

But isn’t escaping to the front doormat the ultimate act of defiance and rebellion! 😛 Unfortunately, Jett is not inclined to agree. He just can’t resist an opportunity to go for a stroll around the neighborhood, supervised or not.
