Get off the horse!!!
I mean, the dog!
The dog is not a horse!
I don’t care if you’re not actually sitting on him.
Does he look like he’s enjoying himself?!?
Well.
Looks like we’re ending the summer the same way we started it.
By tormenting the poor dog.
Since The Bigly Bestest Doggie hasn’t yet mastered eating at a table while seated in a chair, my boys have evidently moved on to bigger, better things.
Like transforming him into a horse.
Ah, well.
School starts next week.
So while the boys’ summer break is coming to a close…
The doggie’s break is finally about to start.
And just in time.
Who knows?
In another week, they might’ve turned him into a trash-eating goat.
Yikes!
~Happy Friday, friends! Can you believe it’s almost time for school again?! Where does the time go?~

Do I look like a horse? It’s back to school for you, boy!
The dog is sure going to miss all the fun he had during the summer.

Oh, he’s enjoying some peace. But there’s still plenty of chaos for him to enjoy after school. 🤣

and I am sure that goes for you too!

Summertime just ended for my two. Our dog doesn’t know what to make of the emptier house. 😉

Jett seems to miss the extra attention when the boys are at school, but then gets more than he bargained for once they return home… 😛

That’s their way of showing how much they love Jett. 🙂

I agree! They definitely shower Jett with attention and affection, although sometimes in unconventional ways. 😄

Oh my goodness!!!! You have a Mitzi!!!!!! That’s her twin in the background of that photo! Same style and everything, just pastel pink instead of my unicorn’s hot pink! Seeing that made me incredibly giddy!

Hahaha! Yes! That’s Pinkie Pie, and my boys picked her out one Valentine’s Day a few years ago. Sadly, she’s not nearly as, uh, adventurous and exciting as her twin Mitzi. 🤣

Poor Jett! I’m sure he’ll be glad when they return too.

Oh, but Jett is always so eager for affection and attention. Whatever will he do with all those extra hours of no boys around to love and torment him? 😜

This is all too real for me because i used to do that with my dogs back in the day when I was young. Especially when I was in that cowboy phase. Thanks for sharing Angelica!

I think the temptation is just too great when you’ve got a doggie who is large enough to be a horse! 😄

Poor thing, gosh they endure a lot don’t they 😏

Dogs seem to be far more patient with the antics of children than grownups tend to be! I don’t think I’d enjoy being a horse on command too much myself… 😝

Can’t believe summer’s almost over, but the Cowboys lost their first game last night, school’s about to begin and it didn’t get out of the 80’s for the high temp today! And we are having rain over several days — in August — in Texas! Weird. Yep, there may be a little bit of summer left, but not much! I hope y’all have a great start to the new school year!

Thank you! I know, I can’t believe summer is just about over already. I’m not ready for back to school chaos yet 😣

Oh what an adorable (and a little sad 🙂 ) photo! Your dog must have a lot of patience. Really funny post.
Good luck with getting your kids back to school. I bet you have a lot going on!
Many blessings,
Debbie

Jett is extremely gentle and patient. 😊 Don’t worry, though; he loves the attention, even if it means temporarily pretending to be a horse. 😄

He actually looks frightened. *shrugs*

I think he was puzzled, more than anything. He’s a good sport when it comes to antics. 😀
