@thebiglybestestdoggie: Surgery went well. It was very rough at first, but I am slowly feeling a little better each day. Momma was so happy to see me finally smile again for the first time since last Thursday!

He and my car had an unfortunate intersection. He ran right into the side at full speed when I was pulling into our circular driveway. I don’t think he expected me to go around the circle so there you have it. It was a horrible experience and he got some road rash and needed stitches on his right paw.🐾 He’s back to normal, thankfully, but it was scary.

Yes, it was terrifying and I was more of a wreck than he was, but all is well now so there’s that. 🥰

Haha! Yeah, this poor doggie is definitely no fan of slow strolls or aimless meandering. He so desperately wants to go out and gallop like a racehorse… but atlas, we are currently resigned to exploring the depths of our own backyard. On a leash. We’ll get there 😄

A flexible fabric cone? Sounds doable. Glad Jett is recovering, the smile is a good sign. He will be up and running before you know it. 🙂

Yeah, about this lovely fabric cone… we were sent home with one of those standard-issue cones that resemble a narrow, inflexible lamp shade. Suffice it to say, it did not go well. And Jett was too smart to be tricked into wearing it… even with sedatives and other woozying drugs involved. 😬 So while not as protective as the other cone, this fabric one has been a sanity saver for all of us. Hopefully just a few more days of fashionable cone-wearing to go… fingers crossed!

We thought she was a “he” until the surgery and then was found out that the he was a “she” so we added the Belle. Besides, I secretly love Taco Bell!
